Main Duties:
To support the IT Infrastructure and maintain high quality and professional standard, by the following means: - Under general direction, install, configure and support hardware devices like PCs, Laptops, scanners, printers, ADSL Routers…etc.
- Under general direction, install, configure and support standards software applications, like MS windows, Ms Office, Adobe Writer, AntiVirus, xWindows Emulators….etc.
- Install, configure and support various business applications like Airmax, Airman, AirOps, SabreView, DCS, AIMS, Easy, Winbasis, Oscas, WiseVision, Airnav, SkyView……etc.
- Attends to and resolve users desktop problems in the timeframe set by the Team Leader or Manager Infrastructure.
- Ensures attending to user’s IMRs in the timeframe defined by the Team Leader or Manager Infrastructure.
- Support users located at different locations at HQ like Head Office, Manama Sales, Seef Office, Sanad Office, GF Club, Old HQ, Airport, Ramp, and Outstations if required.
- Undertake any Desktop special assignments and projects as defined and directed by Manager Desktop Services.
- Acts as a liaison between the customer, suppliers, and other technical groups to resolve software and hardware problems (like Sita, local ISPs/PTTs, Microsoft, Oracle, HP, etc).
- Analyzes performance problems and recommends solutions to enhance functionality, reliability and/or usability.
- Implements operational support standards and procedures relating to security, change management, and performance management.
- Provides user orientation on hardware, software and network operations.
- Keeps abreast of emerging operational support technologies and industry trends.
- Provides timely status updates regarding users’ IMRs and Incidents.
- Implement Desktop Services Support policies and standards on all related activities.
- Should be pro-active in exploring & implementing new technology solutions for efficient Support & Management.
- Plan & execute the outstations visits within the specified period for resolving any pending issues, new office opening or for new system implementation.
- Make the Outstation visit report after each visit mentioning the jobs carried out , pending issues and recommendation for improvement and submit it to Head of IT Infrastructure and Manager – IT Infrastructure in a professional manner.
- Ensures to update the IT Asset Inventory whenever a license change is implemented on desktops, and whenever a change is done on one of the main attributes.

Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Engineering in Electronics/Computers/Telecom from a recognized university or institution.
- CCNA & MCSE certification is a plus.
- Very good command in English & Arabic language (Both writing & speaking).
- Technical report writing skills.
- Hardware and software support certificates is plus.
- Driving license is a must.• Minimum 5 to 7 years work experience in IT Hardware, Software and Networking support functions.• Customer Services awareness and skills is a must.• An excellent communication skill is required to communicate with different users levels (Normal, middle management, high management).
- Excellent technical experience in supporting and troubleshooting the following areas:
- Standard desktop applications (e.g. MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Adobe Writer, etc.).
- Local Area Networks setup, cabled and Wireless.
- Desktop operating systems (XP, Vista).
- Hosted applications support for SabreView, DCS, Cargo, Amadeus.
- AntiVirus, AntiSpywares.
- Oracle Client, Oracle Developer, Oracle Discoverer.
- JDeveloper client.
- JInitiator Client.
- ACT!
- Windows Emulator like Exceed and Eicon Aviva.11. File Recovery techniques.
- Diagnostics tools
- OS Administrations tools
- Hardware setup and configuration (PCs, Laptops, Printers, etc).
- Thin Client is an advantage.
- Should be a self starter and should be responsible for one's own work product and may provide guidance, assistance, or mentorship to less knowledgeable or experienced co-workers.
